How to set smtp authentication in vsphere4?

Hello Everyone

I am trying vsphere4 and I found a problem with email setting. I cannot find smtp autnentication setting in my vcenter config.

There are only smtp server and sender address in my config in vcenter configuration--mail. But I just can not find a server without smtp authentication. So, I can not send email when a job done.

So, can I set smtp setting in vsphere?

Is not possible in vCenter Server.

But you can install in your Windows Server a SMTP relay (also the one from Microsoft can work) to use authentication and set vCenter to use localhost as SMTP server.

I hope vmware will add this function...adding smtp in my server means more complicate. But just now I can only do this. Thank you again.
