I just installed an update (via check for updates) of VMware Fusion 3 (says now version 204229), but where is it actually downloading the update files (VMware Fusion Core, Tools etc.) to?
I'd like either to remove them and/or take a backup of them....
They get downloaded to a temporary file, the path is not deterministic. We ask OS X for a temporary location, it generates a random folder, we use it, and things get cleaned up on reboot (either that or when Fusion quits). If you want a backup copy, it's probably easier to download Fusion.
