cant login to vmware server 2, just installed on vista posted: Nov 7, 2009 12:54 PM

so i just installed VMware server 2 on vista business, and i cant login.
the installation went fine, no errors, and i have reinstalled twice now, and still no success at logging in.
i click on Vmware server home page, brings it up in firefox, i use my username and password that i use to login into my comp, and i just get:
"Login failed due to a bad username or password."

help, please, thanks.

Hi,

Try enabling your administrator account and setting a password for it. Then use these credentials to logon. Once logged on, you can set other local accounts to be used. You can then disable the administrator account.

Try the above, I didn't have to do tis when I installed on windows 7, but I do remember having to do it in the past on vista.
