Hi Experts,


I am attempting to install ESXi 4.0 onto my PC. My PC Configuration is AMD Phenom II X4 940(Processor) , Biostar TA790GX 128M(Motherboard), 6 Gb DDR II RAM , 500 gb Sata HDD


Biostart . but I am getting the
following error message.

Installation Operation Failed

The installation operation has encountered a fatal error:

Unable to find a supported device to write the VMWare ESXi 4.0.0 image to.


System

Please Help Me for same

Take a look here - http://www.vm-help.com/esx/esx3i/ESXi_35_common_issues.php#Unable_to_find_a_supported_device. It's for 3.5 but you have the same issue. If you then go to the homepage you'll find the hardware list for 4.0

The Sata HDD of your machine may not be supported. If it is not supported the driver will not be loaded and ESXi unable to find out your Disks.

You would need to add a NIC that ESXi can recognize. See vm-help.com for that list.

You can add something like an Intel Pro 1000 GT or head over to vm-help.com for a realtek driver.
