Hello,

I use vCenter Converter in order to shrink the VMs on my vSphere, and I just find out that after a conversion, the VMs get a horribly slow mouse: in fact the driver change from vmmouse to mouse compatible ps2 (default driver for XP).

I have the last converter (4.0.1) and a uptodate vspshere, what should I do ?

thx!

can't you use ghost32 ? - that has no such side-effects and should be faster

Hi Virgile

I also re-install VMWare tools after every conversion of VMWare to ESXi, thereafter the mouse is normal and you are able to move the mouse pointer in/out of the VM seemlessly.

I also remove all the hidden devices after converting a VM using the following command in command prompt:

set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1

press enter

start devmgmt.msc

from action tab select show hidden devices and uninstall all devices that are greyed out.

Nikhil
