a quick answer is to repair the vmwaretools installation, but I must redo it on each VM I clone... 
Am I the only one with bugs with FF 3.5 in Vm Communities this morning ? It's fine on IE8, but on FF it's anwful!!

continuum>ghost could be an idea, but I prefer to stay with vmware products, and stay with the easiest solution possible (I won't the only one to manager this server in the future, and I need to explain others what to do..)
Nikhil Patwa>ok for the hidden devices, I've checked it this morning, and there's only two, so I won't bother with that, but I'm happy not to be the only one that must reinstall vmware tools after converting, so I think I'll ask vmware support for that point.
