Hi,

Well that sometimes happens with windows. If you get in that mode then you can force shutdown.
In Fusion 2, hold down the option key and then select "Force shutdown" from the menu.
In Fusion 3, Force Shutdown is in the menu.
It will basically shut down your virtual machine similar to pulling the plug in the physical world, so it is not a permanent solution.
However usually this happens just one time and gives you the opportunity to get out of the shutting down loop.

Umm.. Force Quit (Option -Q) is not the same as Force Shutdown from the menu.
With Force Quit you just disconnect the graphical shell but the virtual machine keeps on running.
You are not telling me which Fusion version you are running, but if it is Fusion 2, then you don't see the "Force" option until you press the option key.
