Following an upgrade from 3.5 to vSphere our vCentre server is taking over 15 mins to reboot. It seems to be solid enough when booted but was wondering if anyone else has had this issue?
While connected to the DRAC I can see it sitting at "applying security settings" for about 15 minutes - We have more than the minimum recomended RAM.

Is the server part of an Active Directory? This part of the boot is usually when group policies are applied any they might take any number of minutes to finish depending on what you put in them. Does the eventlog say anything about what's going on during this time? What OS and service pack are you running? Any antivirus or firewall software enabled? Shaky network connection to the domain controllers?
