Welcome to the forums!

Click on that small console icon which opens an independent console window and arrange them.

Yes, the one which gets enabled when you have marked a guest.
When my eyes are still sharp enough these are all independent console windows arranges in a clean and nice manner manually....imho no vSpehere function is involved.

That looks like one guest with four terminal windows. If I look at the left favorite bar I can't see four guests running and I see only one guest label above the top left terminal window.

I consider that as a fake. These desktops are not virtual machines running under that VMware Workstation.

Workstation is a tabbed interface, not MDI, so what you're asking isn't possible. What you can do is open multiple Workstation windows and tile those windows.

Can you post a larger screenshot first. I only see one guest running with for windows inside, maybe terminal server sessions. So there is nothing to arrange within VMware Workstation.

It's a screenshot from the VMware Workstation web page ( http://www.vmware.com/products/workstation/ ). I think it's Workstation running 4 nested copies of Workstation inside a VM.

I apologize for the confusion. The goal of the image was an attemp to show that Workstation can run lots of guest operating systems in workstation (title of that section is "Run more operating systems"). That image was created with 5 Workstation Windows (File->New Windows) with the tool bars, tabs and side bars turned off for the 4 windows in the middle with the fith behind opened full screen behind it (big/high res moniitor :). I wanted to show a stack of OSes running. Obviously we laid them out too neatly. Btw, if you look closely you will see the workstation menu bars. In my rush to get ready for the Workstation 7 launch, I didn't stop and think it would be viewed as a feature. I am going to take a shot at redoing it so we can avoid confusion while showing off Workstation's ability to run many different OS. Please send me any ideas you have. In addition, I am working with the web team to add the ability to Zoom into the screen shots for better visibility.

You say this is not a feature. But it looks like a very nice feature to have. In the past, I have asked Vmware to add this feature. Seeing the screenshot, I thought my wish came true.
So, maybe Vmware can add it as a new feature? Like in VMware Server, separate undocked window tiles are great to work with.

--Absolutely. I tried responding on Sunday actually, and my post got caught up in the forum-maintenance. :(

--Think of it from a monitoring standpoint. If you're working with several VMs, it can be useful to Tile the virtual consoles within the Workstation window, and have Live updated thumbnail-screens of what is currently going on in the VMs - should be user-tunable, anywhere from .5 second, 1 min, 2 min, to 60 minutes or whatever. Then if you see $INTERESTING-THING happen in the VM, or just need to work with it -- click on thumbnail, zoom in and expand the VM so you can interact with it.

./. If you have appreciated my response, please remember to apply Helpful/Correct points. TIA
