All, I was hoping to get some help on an install problem on my new Dell PE T410. I put in the CD and start the install process. It boots off the CD and I start the install. It gets to the part where its extracting image.tgz from the CD and the screen goes crazy. I can't explain it but its almost like a mix of characters and small colored boxes all over the screen. You can't see if anything is still going on in the background. The cd-rom stops spinning and the machine doesn't respond to keyboard strokes. I tried 3 times with the same result. Anyone have any ideas? I'm using the Dell customized version of VMWare ESXi v4.0.0.

First check on HCL:
http://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility

Then check on whitebox configurations:
http://www.vm-help.com
http://ultimatewhitebox.com

Be sure to have last BIOS and firmware, also check BIOS configuration (for example for Virtualization options).
