One did go out, but the email notifications are now slightly changed. They are sent to the same email lists as before but now it would include any meetings in the next few months in addition to the local ones you are interested in. So if you were looking for the same subject/email as before you may have missed it.

This last time it came on Oct. 21 from vmwareteam@connect.vmware.com and the subject was 'Upcoming VMware User Group Meetings'. I would assume it will always be the same or close to the same.
