In KB Article: 1008971 is a description how to PXE boot the server.
The boot starts but ends with a purple screen telling me: "No multiboot module to build a ram disk"
Any idea what that means and how to make it work!
Good hint that pushed me forward a lot. I think it was the bad layout of the KB Article, which has improper formatting.
ESX boots up but shows an error: Can't open /sbin/install
But the Kernel is running and I can attach to the maintenance console. If I look into /sbin there is no install executable.
In the KB Article there is is a kernel boot option PBHOST=PXE-BOOT-IP-ADDRESS:3333 and ipappend 2
Is that a valid parameter? Also there is no boot.cfg on the ISO image.
