I'm french.

I am currently evaluating LM for its integration into our infrastructure. I configured a template to deploy a VM Windows 2003 R2 Standart x64.

The query process works properly. But the creation of the VM fails. The operation fails at 90%.

I have every time the same error : "Cannot deploy template: Cannot complete customization".

I do not understand. The product is not compatible with win x64 2003 ?

Can you help me ?

My configuration :

1 ESX server : 4.0 171294

1 Vcenter : 4.0 162856

LCM 1.0.2 Build 4415

Hi boiteavinc,

LCM 1.0.2 supports this OS for customization. Most probably, the problem is in VCenter itself.
Can you take a look at VC logs to see what's wrong with the customization?
Also, can you try the same cloning/customization directly from VCenter to see if it succeeds?
If you get the same error, then LCM cannot do much in this situation.

I forgot to put the deployment tools on Vcenter:

C: \ Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter \sysprep\
