Have you priced out a SAN?

The MSA is just an external attached storage device, from my understanding. You will be somewhat limited with this.

You might want to price out a SAN solution.

Take a look at NetApp's new filers FAS2040.....

It might be more cost effective for you to dump the blade solution for a DL380 G6 cluster. Take the money you save there, and dump it in to a core storage system. You will be better off putting your money toward storage when talking about VMWare then toward your hosts.....

John is correct. The 60 is just a drive enclosure. If you look at the StorageWorks 2000 series product line they are a SAN and come in FC or ISCSI. They are a good choice for a small business. I agree on dumping the blade solution as well. Most small companies won't benefit from a blade solution. DL 380 or 385 G6 series is much more suitable for small environments.

I would agree with the previous comments.

Blades - unless you have a requirement to fully populate a blade chassis then it is not a cost-effective option as opposed to purchasing a couple of DL360 or 380 G6.

Storage - If they are small then look at the MSA 20xx iSCSI or FC solutions - I think a NetAPP would be to expensive - once you total up all the additional options you want a NetApp is not a cheap storage option for an small customer.
