Mouse problems with 6.5.3 on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic

Hi all,

I am experiencing problems with the mouse on Karmic. The only way I can describe it is finickey

I can't seem to click on somethings for example the shutdown button in the windows start menu.

The mouse also seems to be coming loose from the vm with out me releaseing it while it is over the vm window.

Anyone experiencing this?

I've tried editing /etc/vmware/bootstrap with VMWARE_USE_SHIPPED_GTK=force

But this does not seem to work.

It seems in ubuntu that I should use

export VMWARE_USE_SHIPPED_GTK=yes

instead of

VMWARE_USE_SHIPPED_GTK=force

Now the mouse problems appear to have dissapated.

I've experienced this as well.

export VMWARE_USE_SHIPPED_GTK=yes worked for me.

What's the difference between yes and forced here? Can someone explain?
