will there ever be paravirtualization support for linux host and windows guest?

I've read that Windows 7 is supposed to play nice with virtualization and supports paravirtualization. However Vista and Server 2008 are the latest offereings from the VMWare Workstation as far as OS install choices and neither allow the Enable Paravirtualization option to be checked.

Is this something i'll have to wait on or is it a never gonna happen?

Windows would have to be modified for paravirtualization support.

Microsoft has no incentive to improve the performance of windows under vmware.

Windows wants to improve the performance under their virtualization solution.

Paravirtualization does not help 64 bit guests as they use the vt hardware.

All of microsoft's new server os's are 64 bit only,
