Hi all,

I'm having some problems with my ESX server and hoping that someone can point me in the right direction to get the problem sorted. Thoug I can restore from my backups there is one VM that I do need to get information out of that has corrupt backup files.

Over the weekend my ESX machine 'locked up' and I was not able to access any of my VM's. I restarted the server and then the problems started, I tried to access the host using the Client to find that none of my VMs were booting. I left it in this state for some time to see if it was just being slow, upon some further investigations I found that my datastore was no longer listed under my attached storage devices.

Running queries on the command line, I located my datastore but was unable to access it. I queried the volumes folder to fine my boot partition and the datastores, and the datastore was 'flashing' red. Though looking through the forums and documentations I was not able to find any meaning for the red flashing.

Can anybody help to explain what this means?
