I am running Host OS - Ubuntu 9.04

Guest Windows Server 2003.

When I try to install oracle it maxs out cpu at 100% and doesn't proceed. It doesn't freeze/lock the system its just oracle not installing.

I have the same setup on other servers and it worked no problems at all. Its just the install on 2 servers that this happens to.

Any ideas?

I would like an answer ASAP please. :_|

I have fixed this now. Turns out that Oracle wouldnt install over 2003 service pack.

I reinstalled and Oracle now begins setup, but doesnt get to the second cd as it has cached the first cd in memory and only displays that disk.

I restarted the server and it did some linux updates and now wont open VMware in the browser at all.

Any ideas?

Oracle has very specific installation requirements. Verify the OS and service pack requirements. Follow the installation directions.

Try running your install from a local disk.

Follow the documentation.
