Today will start the beta period for the exam on the new product (http://www.vmware.com/services/certification-r.html).

Somebody has been contacted by VMware to participate at this exam?

The beta exam will be invitation-only, and yes they will contact people this week. All current VMware instructors (like myself) will be invited - that's all I know so far....

On the VMware site there is write:
Candidates eligible for the beta exam will automatically be contacted by VMware. These candidates must be VCP3 certified and beta product users.
But no more info of how much people will be invited.

So maybe only VMware instructors will be invited?

Hi all,

You must be a VCP on VI3 and have registered as a vSphere Beta user to be invited to participate in the beta. If you are a VCI, you have your VCP on VI3 and should be included in the invitation. We have a list of VCP on VI3s that we will use as a contact list. If you have not received an invitation and have both of the above pre-requisites, you can contact us at certification@vmware.com. Please do not contact us if you have not met these qualifications as we will not be able to provide a voucher to you.

Hi,

I got my VCP on VI3, but I didn't get a invite for the beta exam or is it only for a select few?? I asking cause you said:

"You must be a VCP on VI3 or have registered as a vSphere Beta user to be invited to participate in the beta."

It is for the select few - I am not sure what the criteria was but it is a small subset of the VCP population

Is the list of VCP's whom need to be contacted already done?

I havn't received such mail yet..wll you please check your database for my ID..or in near future will get any other list..

any chance?

AsI understand it the list of Beta Test Test takers has already been put to gether and those individuals have been contacted -if you have not received word then you are not part of the beta test - you will have take the VCP exam when it is publically avaialable -

I also received an invite, not doing the exam though... don't have any time left to spend preparing for it or even taking it the upcoming two weeks.
