Has anyone had trouble either automated or manual uninstall of vmware tools from both windows 2008 32bit/64bit? We can not get the tools to uninstall and have to end up manually removing things from the registery to get the v4.0 version of vmware tools to install. Windows 2003 works perfectly.

Have you submitted a SR yet? We have SR #1426829131 created. Also have you found another work around to get the tools uninstalled without using the registry?

Thanks - in advance.

No since I don't have active SnS for my ESXi. No I didn't find a way to install- upgrade or uninstall the tools without to delete the "uninstall registrykey".
