hi,
I am trying to open socket on ESX host vmci device, the AFValue type is 56.
I get error "Address Family Not Supported by protocol".

can you help me please?

Hi,

Can you please provide a little more detail. Are you running ESXi or Classic? I am assuming you are running ESX 4.0 but want to double check.

At this time VMCI sockets are only supported in a guest VM or a ESX userworld. If you are running ESXi then you are ok. However, if you are running Classic ... you need to explicitly start your program with vmkload_app. Any additional info you can provide would be great.
