Hi guys,
I've been trying for a while to re-encode a video captured with Workstation, so I can edit out bits and also re-encode so it can be played on any PC (no need for vmware codec).
In my previous thread, Camtasia studio was suggested, and indeed, this package seems to suit my requirements.
My issue, however seems to be that every time I try to re-encode using camtasia, I get the following error:

Bolded for clarity: the faulting module appears to be the vmware codec...?
Also, a further tell tale sign is that when played in Windows media player, media player crashes at approximately the same point in the video...

Platform for both of those crashes was a Lenovo T500 running on Windows 7 RC (64 bit), but I have the same problem on my Dell E6400 running Vista 64 Business SP2 as well (was running on the Lenovo for the last time I tried just to rule out dodgy hardware - same error on both machines says to me its not hardware related).
Is 64 bit a supported platform for the codec? It installed happily without complaint...
I use/administer: ESX 3.5 | VirtualCenter 2.5 | Workstation 6.5 | Vmware Server 2.0 | Windows 2003 | FreeBSD | Redhat EL
