When will the CVP "layer" be here? Client Virtualization Layer to run VDI clients locally. It would be great if it came soon, I have clients that are interested.. :-) No need for a local Windows OS anymore..

CVP has not been released to anybody yet. It is still in development. A release date has not been announced yet.

Out of curiosity, what are the use cases of the customer you say are interested in CVP? Is it just to get rid of the windows layer? Is there anything else that they (or you) find compelling about the idea?

Are you sure about that? You may have the brand, but it was a brand that imformed me

the main use for me is to simplify the client. and reduce the virtualisation overhead. The ability to separate functional uses is also a serious plus point and the ability for machine mobility

It hasn't been released indeed, not even private beta yet.
