Environmentals:
- All-Apple network consisting of two Apple Airport Extremes (works flawless across all wired and wirelss Macs and PCs)
- Brother MFC multi-function printer hardw-wired (Ethernet) to one of the AEB units (the "master")
- MacBook Pro running 10.5.6 and Fusion 2.0
- Fusion running network in "bridged" mode because of VPN (cannot be changed to NAT, I do not believe)
Problem Description:
Using Windows Add Printer Wizard, I am unable to find the printer on the network. Using Bonjour, the printer shows up and I can install it and add the drivers, but will not print once installed.
- I can ping the IP address of the printer
- The printer works fine from a "regular" Windows laptop on the network using Bonjour
- The printer works fine from the Mac "host" OS and other Macs on the network
I tried using the Windows Add Printer wizard and specified the IP address of the printer - not found. I tried the NetBIOS name - not found..
I'm at my wit's end trying to figure out why this won't work. I'm a n00b with Fusion, but generally fairly handy with networking stuff (though my Windows skills are rapidly declining the more I use my Macs!)
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
