Imported XP SP3 vm from Parallels after removing Parallels Tools. All seemed to proceed correctly during VMware Tools installation except the mouse driver installtion. which gives the following message: "Setup fsiled to install the mouse driver automatically. This driver will have to be installed manually." The Microsoft PS/2 mouse driver is installed, and the mouse works ok, but when I try to uninstall it and then install vmmouse.sys (which is version 12.4.0.2, the driver installer asks me to provide the "Compact Disk labeled 'VMware Pointing Device Driver Disk'" in drive D: or point to an alternate location.

Mouse is working ok with the PS/2 Compatible Mouse driver, but the inability of VMware Tools to install the vmmouse.sys driver is annoying. Any ideas on how to fix? VMX file attached.

Basically this is a one time thing that the release notes say should be ignored...
