Hi,

I am using an evaluation version of VMware.

I added a VM to under a host but I am not able to power on the same; while trying to power on the vm I get a message "There are not enough licenses installed to perform this operation" (screenshot attached). When I tried to edit the license for the ESX server I find only one option "Unlicensed" (screenshot attached).

Can some one help me?

Thanks,

Hi chennaivaasi,

After looking at your screen shots they appear to have a date of 1/24/2009. Are those old screen prints? Are your date/time settings correct? Keep in mind changing the date/time will not keep your 'trial' running.

Also, it looks like you have a build of ESX that is over 2 years old. If your giving it a test drive I would consider trying vSphere 4 which is currently available for trial download.

Good luck!
