When checking the hardware compatability for vSphere 4.0 http://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/search.php it doesn't list the IBM DS4500 as being compatable. It does show it compatable for ESX 3.5 which we are currently using. Can anyone comfirm this, or has it just not been tested yet?

They're adding supported hardware almost daily, and the vendor is the one that supplies it to vmware....so patiences is the meal of the day.

It's been a while since I posted this. Does anyone know if this will work now?

tkdunbar, it is up to IBM to certify the DS4500 with VMware. I would suggest asking them for a time frame.
Depending on when it is in it's life cycle they may have decided not to certify it. This doesn't mean it won't work, it just means VMware Support will only extend a best effort towards helping you if the issue is storage related.
