Hello Forum,

I have a Windows Server 2003 x64 machine. There are 2 hdd in the vm. I want to shrink the systemdrive c: from 50GB to 15GB.

I added a new hdd with 15GB and used Ghost to clone it.

Afterwards I changed the scsi IDs and removed the 50GB hdd.

Now the vm boots up to the logon screen. So far so good.

But after logging on the system always loops back to the logon screen (please press ctrl alt del to log on...)

What could be the reason for that behavior?

Thank you!

ESX 3.5 158874, VC Server 2.5

Have you tried to do a repair of the OS (using Windows CD)?

Andre
