Maybe could be useful to do a list of DBMS that could work with vCenter Server on Linux.

Officially only Oracle (only version 10?).
But also Oracle XE works (just with XE limitation).

But I read that somebody is using PostgreSQL and also MySQL (?).
Other DBMS that could work?

For each unofficial DBMS, which is the schema and the connection configuration?

Hello,

PostgreSQL and MySQL do not work.

You can use any Oracle version (officially supported) or MSSQL (unofficial, you need to load an appropriate ODBC driver for MSSQL).

No other databases are supported at this release of the code. I did some extensive testing and those are it.

Which version? Have you tried also with a SQL Express?

Hello,

Linux VC should support the MSSQL of the normal vCenter... I have not tested it as I would rather not use MSSQL, but its code is similar.
