We are in currently doing a VMware View POC and Citrix XenApp POC. For our particular situation, we found View wasn't the best solution, however, we gained knowledge and experience in the product and can see the benefits.
Citrix XenApp, which can be ran as a VMware VM (don't worry - no XenServer hypervisor required), allows us more flexibility as we are currently only interested in publishing applications to provide a more controlled and locked-down environment (e.g. labs, kiosks). I realize VMware has products in the works and/or existing (e.g. ThinApp), however, thus far, XenApp has offered us a better solution for our needs.
Everyone's need will be different, so please do not run out and use View over XenApp or vice-versa. If anyone is interested in my thoughts or experiences so far, please reply.
