I have a netware admin asking for the netware.iso file so they can do a manual instal of the vmtools.

Don't ask me why they can't use the usual method, ever time I ask anything they get defensive.

Since we are running installable, there is no shell access and I can't locate where the netware.iso file is located so I can just send them that file and make them happy.

/store/packages/3.5.0/vmtools/ - http://www.vm-help.com/esx/esx3i/ESXi_enable_SSH.php

If you don't want to enable SSH you can extract them from a patch package. The main ZIP that you download for an ESXi update will have an embedded ZIP called something like ESXe350-200901402-T-BG.zip. That'll have the tools ISO image.

I've update the post with SSH access, but if you don't to enable that you can download the patch from here - http://download3.vmware.com/software/vi/ESXe350-200904201-O-SG.zip. Extract it and you'll see the <version>-T-BG.zip that I mentioned.
