Office 2007 taking over file associations posted: Feb 9, 2009 8:58 AM

I am trying to put a thinapp version of office 2003 on to computers that have a native install of 2007. The process works just fine, but no matter what the file associations are set as, office 2007 always opens when opening a office document.

I have checked the file associations, and they all point to the Thinapp version (I am using the MSI install). It seems that 2007 is just being bratty, and I want it to stop hogging the file associations.

Any Help?

Thanks,

Bill

I've got exactly the same problem. Just to let you know that it isn't a computer-related problem.

Are you running any Office 2007 processes when you are trying this? If you are then Office will launch the native install instead of starting a new instance.
