I am installing VMware ESXi 3.5 U3 Installable with HP Management Components on my HP dc7800 and am running into an issue. I get to the Inistalizing screen and when the install gets to Initializing Processors I get a Pink screen of death. The following is in on the screen: (see the attachment). Can someone help?

I'd suggest switching to the regular ESXi install ISO.

I am not sure what you mean by that. I thought I had a normal ESXi image. Do I not?

This image is for use on "supported ProLiant server platforms".

A dc7800 is thus not supported, use the standard image instead.

Welcome to the forums.

I'm going to have to agree. The version of ESXi that includes HP Management Components, is really meant for support HP servers.

GIven that you have a DC7800, you might find more success using the vanilla ESXi installation ISO.
