Just today, I had a couple requests that got stuck in Waiting for Creation. They're still stuck there. I moved one the Waiting Placement state, re-placed it, but it still got stuck at Waiting for Creation.

Rather embarrasing. Found the the problem. The requester had specified a start date in the future. The LCM hadn't created the session yet because it wasn't yet that date.

Hi guys,

got a similar problem (nearly). The customer created the provisioning date in the future, but I played around with the "Change State" option of the machine and now it won't roll out. Am I able to force the rollout of the machine?

Thanks and regards

Hi EAzy,

First of all the Change State option is only for debugging purposes and should not be used widely.
On the other problem, currently there's an issue in LCM causing a delay of one day before the provisioning/decommissioning occurs.
For example, if the provisioning date is set to 8 Oct then the actual provisioning will happen at 00:00 on 9 Oct - i.e. one day later than expected.
Can you check if this is the case? If not, can you tell us what steps/changes did you perform before encountering the issue?

Regards,
Todor

You should go back in as an administrator and adjust the state to:

Provision - Provision Approval - Waiting For Approval

Once you've done that, go to the approvals tab and approve the request, and if needed then go to the placement tab and perform Setup.

Hi Todor,

yes, that could be the problem. The provisioning date is set to the 8th of Oct. I will wait until tomorrow morning. Maybe that might help. Hopefully I haven't crashed anything while playin' around with the states...

Thanks in advance and I will get back to you tomorrow...

I will do that. First I will wait till tomorrow (see my last posting). Hope the time will help me this time... ;)

Thanks for the fast reply

Hi again,

This problem was documented in the Release notes recently. Basically the workaround is to specify the provisioning/decommissioning date with one day earlier than the desired one.

Todor
