Hi All,
Just installed VMware 1.0.8 on a Fedora Core 10 64 bits.
All is running smothly.

Restored a VM from a vmware server 1.0.6 and all ok -> machine up and with conectivity ! Yessss
Then decided to restore the other VM and it booted ok ! Still with no connectivity.

The network interface is bridged with the fisical network and the only thin strange that I get is, when I boot this second machine the /var/log/messages shows up with this message:

an 9 15:59:38 MACHINE kernel: 4440: /dev/rtc enable interrupt failed: -1

several times and with no regular time interval :(
and no conectivity :(

Do you guys have any hint what might it be ?

thanks for reading this and best regards
Nuno

Just to add that the message :
kernel: 4440: /dev/rtc enable interrupt failed: -1

appear on the var/log/messages of the phisical machine not from the Virtual one.

:(

Read something about the real time clock and compile the kernel but in CENTOS.
Anyway one machine is running ok on another VLAN that is bridged with vmware /dev/vmnet

thanks again

Well, both machines are up and running :)
imported the VMs again and they started to respond with connectivity. Although on the machine were wmware server 1.0.8 runs on the /var/log/messages the message continues to appear:

kernel: 4440: /dev/rtc enable interrupt failed: -1

All services on the VMs ar ok and running.
Don't know if I have to worrie about this or not :(

Any advices are really appreciated.
Once again thanks for your time and patience

Nuno
