Update Manager Plugin

I've recently installed the Update Manager Plugin to see what it does and it seems very useful. Unfortunately I think I may have opened pandora's box as it went out and downloaded all sorts of patches and updates. The biggest issue currently is that it ate the entire partition that the VC is being hosted on. The VC is hosted on a VM host as a GuestOS. I originally allocated about 15 gigs for the system partition and Updates have consumed about 4.7 gigs in the following directory:

c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\vmware\vmware update manager\data

Is there anyway to point this folder at a different parition. I have a 40 gig d:\ partition assigned to the VC that would be perfect for storing these updates. If repointing the directory isn't a possibility, how can I go about getting this under control? If anyone has a link to some documentation that would probably be sufficient.

Thanks in advance.
