Is there a way to control the process priority of a VM?

I have a dual quad core Dell server with 8GB of RAM which I purchased as a development VM server. While running an XP and a UBuntu64 guest I monitored "top". It seems like the VMs never tax the CPUs, even though I have 3 of them allocated the guest OS's

Looking about on the net I found:

priority.grabbed

priority.ungrabbed

These do not take "nice" deltas and I don't see where to set them in the Workstation GUI.

TIA

Try the attached script - I wrote it for Server 2.0 but don't see why it shouldn't work for Workstation.

It takes an input file which is a list of .vmx file names followed by the nice value you want to assign. Lines starting with a # character are ignored so can be used to annotate the file. For example:

# XenDesktop
XP Pro SP3 - Media Player/XP Pro SP3 - Sysprep.vmx,-5
# Backup DC
Backup DC x64/Windows Server 2003 Enterprise x64 Edition.vmx,5

You can then run it manually or via cron.
