I'm guessing "the P2V" is in fact vMware converter 
If I'm reading it right though, you are creating a share on the server you are trying to convert to a virtual machine ... Logic tells me this will not work all that well
Create the share on the workstation where converter is installed and point the conversion to this share ... That should work.
