I currently have an older IBM server and it is the only server we have. It runs Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP as well as some applications. I purchased a new Dell Server and made it an ESXi server. I used VM Infrastructure installed on the local server and created an image which works fine. I then try to boot the image on the new Dell ESXi server and it takes FOREVER saying it is applying computer settings. I have waited hours and it never comes up. It is Windows 2003 Standard. If I boot into safe mode it works great. Once in safe mode I go to Device Manager but I don't see any issues. I have SAS drives in the new server, the old server uses ATA. I am at a loss, what do I do to try to troubleshoot my issue?
