DC can you give us a little more information. Are you saying that during the migration they loose connection or after the migration to the new host they are now loosing connection at times?

Do you have Switch Notification turned on in the vSwitch and PortGroup properties on both sides? It is a default setting when creating vSwitches and port groups, so someone would have had to turn it off.

Typically this relates to some type of physical switch configuration issue. I know that is not an answer, but try looking the ARP tables.

If you vmotion the VDM back to the original ESX host does it start working again?
