I am looking for any documents or procedures to help me migrate our VC Database from Oracle 10g Express Edition to MS SQL 2005

Currently Installed:

  • VirtualCenter 2.5 U3
    • Oracle 10g Database Express Edition 10.2.0.1.0
  • ESX Server 3.5 U2

Thanks for any pointers.

Has anyone found a way to do this? I never thought I'd say it, but I'd like to leave the Oracle environment for MS SQL because of support issues.

Any pointers?

Its a painful manual process. I have never done it, but did research it before for a customer. Here are some resources that may help you:

http://vyaskn.tripod.com/oracle_sql_server_differences_equivalents.htm

http://www.spectralcore.com/fullconvert/tutorials/convert-oracle-to-mssql-sql-server.php

Sorry I can't be of any more help.
