Hi freinds ,
please tell how can i confirm/check whether the the vmware tools are installed in my guest operating system or not
ThankU:)
Not a problem
If you are using a Microsoft OS - check in add/remove programs. You should also notice a little blue icon in your system tray.
Another simple method is to when you check the status of the VM from the VI client - it will display a status of VMware tools OK (and will display the dns name and IP of the VM).
Hi freind ,
Thanx for ur reply.
I have created a VM in VIC that VM is RHEL4. Now i want to check whether vmware tools are installed or not. so plz tell me how can i do that .
ThankU:)
I haven't installed VMware tools in a linux guest..... however you should be able to check by seeing the status of the VM from within the VI client.... where it lists the VMware tools status (not installed, OK etc).
k thanx , i will wait till i find how cam i do that with linux
