Has anyone received the email from Chip PC to receive their free thin client yet? I have not.

I have really been looking forward to this e-mail.

I think they made a mistake when they decided to send out free thin clients.

I've received like 4-5 spam emails thanking me for visiting their booth at VMworld, all which I had no idea who they were... makes me feel like I sold myself out by letting people scan my badge every 6 feet....

The bit I find quite bizaare about this whole fiasco is that UK ChipPC know nothing about this particular offer. I would love a representive of ChipPC to come here and explain how and why this state of afairs has arisen.

All;

Chip PC appreciates your continued patience in regards to the VM World promotional offer being delivered. We had a overwhelming response to this offer and manufacturing has produced the required units to fulfill on this promotional offer. The units were shipped to the US HQ last week, due to arrive late this week and will be shipped to VM World lab attendee's as soon as we get them.

Again, thank you for your patience and understanding in regards to this mattet.

I didn't register for this promotion, must have missed the booth, but I find it odd that there weren't enough manufatured prior to VMworld if they were going to be offering this promotion to 10,000+ people. On a good note someone did step in and give a status update to the forums, kudos for that.

Unfortunately the promo was conceived by the executives at the show Monday night, after a couple of beers, and left for the others to deliver on.

I'm sure no one else has this type management. ;-)

Not to mention someone else posted the promo form online and one in approx four didn't even attaend VM World :-(:-(

Hey, I always find that my best ideas come after a few beers, or is that after 1 too many? :)
