I thought I had heard somewhere that they were going to post the session presentations BEFORE Vmworld. Does anyone know where they would be? I've got a 5 hour flight and need something to help me sleep. :p

Will these be available to non-attendees?

Some of the presentations are now available at the schedule builder sessions catelog.

As far as I know, and if past practice prevails, these sessions will only be made available to conference attendees. This is one of the additional benefits of attending the conference.

I talked to Eric Nielsen (runs the vmworld.com site) about this while at VMworld. The plan is to release the slides and audio within 1-2 weeks after the show ends to conferecne attendees. There will also be a paid subscription for non-attendees to gain access to both the VMworld USA and Europe content. Beyond that they may or may not release them for free to the general public, they haven't decided yet. If they do decide to do it they will release them like last year in batches of 10-12 per month.

They didn't hand out books to follow along with the labs this year?

The lab books were provided in electronic (.pdf) format.

With the exception of the technology preview labs, the content is slated to be posted by the end of the month. Don't be surprised if it takes a little longer which as I recall is what happened in 2007 and 2006.
What lab gave you trouble?

Monday 8am SRM lab had a few issues.
Terminal Services performance issues earlier on with the lab manual and then an SRM showstopper at about 85% of the way through where the SRM plugin apparently had a .NET code issue which prevented us from completing the migration of a VM from the production site to the disaster recovery site. The lab instructor proceeded to show us what would have happened had we not gotten the error using screenshots captured previously.
