I am trying to install Windows 2000 professional version on my virtual computer, aka Fusion. I get an error message that states something to the effect that Windows has detected my "C" drive as either new or contains an unsupported operating system. It gives me the option to quit, or continue, whereby Windows wants to erase my "C" drive. Is this normal? Is it trying to erase space from my virtual machine, or my actual Mac hard drive? What do I do? Thank you.

If this is a fresh install, this is perfectly normal and expected, and you should allow it to proceed. The message is referring to the virtual disk (represented by a file or files) that Fusion created for you, not the physical hard disk.

Richard;

It's been ages since I did a new Win2K install... but I believe the Default account name created during the setup is "Administrator" without the quotes.

If you've never been asked to specify a password by windows, don't enter one. Just "Administrator" as the User, password field blank.

Try that.
