Hi folks!
Can somebody tell me which controller driver is better for Windows XP deployments for VDI? ¿BusLogic or LSI?
Thanks in advance!
Best Regards,
Randy
My last question was because I need a advice from you guys. I am preparing my self for my first big VDI
deployment in about one month. I need to deploy 200 virtual desktops
and I am following your document "Windows XP Deployment Guide"
In the page 2. (Download the LSI 53C1030 drivers from the LSI Web site)
I have a problem with the LSI drivers.
In that, I just selected the XP OS and made a flp image. Now, when I
try to install this image, from the floppy to the XP, VM it gets
installed but, WinXP Professional setup says it did nto find any hard
disk drivers installed in your system.......
Hi,
You right, In the inittial steps of Windows instalation I press F6. My floppy image gets mounted and the LSI driver installed, but Windows still cant find any hard drives...

one thing you should consider when setting up the VM. When you deploy it initially, you have to deploy it as a custom VM, otherwise by default you will be given the BusLogic driver. During the custom install choose the LSI, then boot it up, mount your OS CD/ISO and hit f6 when prompted. Mount the .flp file and you should be good.
If that doesn't work, deploy using BusLogic with the same method and you could always change to LSI post deployement if you'd like.
Attached is the BusLogic Driver and a link on how to change it to LSI
Thanks a lot!
I really appreciate you help! My Windows XP VM is now working with LSI controller, and I found that the performance is better that BusLogic!
Nice job!
Have a great dat
