I think someone must have bumbed their head installing ESX... I was hoping we could all meet, since it's in the same hotel, but I don't get an expense account .. maybe next year!

Certainly you can't blame me for trying!

I do hope to make it. I'm really leaning towards the cheesecake right now but I've got a conflict with a complimentary steak dinner with another group. If only there were a few hours in between, I could do both.

My wife and I are in. I read much more than I post, but have found the VMTN community to be a lifesaver during my implementation. A good community to be a member of.

Person with the highest post count buys, right? :D

Hey all I hope you have a great time in Vegas this year. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend as I am I working in Japan now, however I used to do quite a bit of work in Las Vegas for conventions. That being said if you are looking for a good place to eat steak I know there is a great restuarant inside The Mirage just across from the check in counter, it is quite expensive but their steaks are excellent. I personally recommend their kobe steak, you can ask them to hold the knife as you could easily cut through the meat with your finger and it just melts in your mouth. :D This was also 2years ago when I was there so things may have changed. You guys will just miss the biggest fashion show in the world... nice sights but vegas is super busy during that convention.(MAGIC is the name).

There is also a good night club in the mirage if your into that sort of thing.

I really missing working in Vegas... well i suppose Japan has its perks as well haha

Cheers

Kevin

Hi Richard, A bunch of the community moderators were interested in meeting at a bar instead of a restaurant, simply so it's easier to network with more people (since you're not stuck at a table), so I volunteered to pass their request on to you. Any interest in moving this to V Bar at the Venetian? Or is the bar at the Grand Lux appropriate for this gathering? I don't mean to hijack your party, just trying to help bring everyone together. I can also offer to help communicate this to some more top communities folks, if you'd like. Let me know. Thanks for taking the initiative to get communities people together! Regards, Robert

Bar is fine but I don't drink. That said, I'm still having steak and cheesecake somewhere before hand whether it's with someone or by myself.

Ok, it looks like we have a plan! Richard, do you mind updating the original post with the new location? And I'll work to get the word out.

Unfortunately, I'm not going to VMworld this year. But JohnTroyer who does all our blogging, and ericni my manager, will both join on Monday night. I'll see if I can get some other interesting VMware people as well.

The bar works for me. Are people some people getting dinner before hand or is it a straight bar only @ 8pm? Can't drink on an empty stomach! I will also be showing up on Saturday, might find me around the poker/blackjack tables
