hello,

i want my VM(windows xp) to copy some files to a share before i suspend the guest.

so i edit the C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Tools\suspend-vm-default.bat file by clicking the Edit button on the Scripts tab from within the VMWare Tools Properties.

and set the property to Custom script.

But every time when i open the Script tab the setting is back to Default Script.

So i am unable to run the Custom Script when i Suspend the Guest.

thanks!

Are you sure it's not actually running your custom script? I believe the default/custom check might only be if it's in the default location or not. By choosing a custom script but leaving the path alone, you're actually editing the default script. Instead, you could (should?) make a copy of the script somewhere else and edit it.
