Hello,

I am trying to set up a HP Proliant ML115 G1 with ESXi Update 2 to use the free serial number. I followed the instructions in other discussion threads to install the HP version of ESXi Update 1 on a USB stick and then upgrade. The server seems to be working with build 82664 that installs with the HP version of Update 1. However, after any attempt to apply an update patch for Update 2, the server seems to boot and bring up the Hypervisor with the grey and yellow screen, the bar finishes moving across the bottom, then a few seconds later the system shows the pink screen of death. The only information I can get at that point is the error message:

Exception type 14 in world 2143:sfcbd @ 0x65aa4a

Has anyone followed the same procedure to update a Proliant ML 115 G1 to Update 2?
