VMware Can't Use Printer?

I installed Windows XP and then used VMware Converter to make a virtual machine from it. My printer was working fine in Windows XP. Now, when I use Workstation 6.0 to run that virtual machine on a Linux host, it can see the printer, but it doesn't print to it. What am I doing wrong?

You need to provide more info. Type of printer? USB, Parallel, Serial, Network? If non-network, have you added the appropriate port to the guest (USB, Parallel or Serial controller.) Does the printer work on the Linux host? (I'm not a Linux person so I can't help you much there.) Does Windows recognize the printer or see some "unknown device"? Any other error messages?

I did provide more information, but you didn't respond to that post. So I thought I would try the simpler approach. See http://communities.vmware.com/thread/161320?tstart=0.
