HP ProLiant DL 380 G5 Problem

We recently installed ESXi (installable) on an HP ProLiant DL 380 G5 with 1 Quad Core Intel Xeon E5440 @ 2.83Ghz w/8 gigs of RAM using onboard RAID 5.

The server has only been running for 2 days, yet twice we have lost the connection between the VI Client and the server. Once we can reconnect to the server (usually after aprox 8 mins or so) we check the VM's and all of them say they were shutdown unexpectedly as if the host rebooted itself.

The first time we saw this, we were creating a new Windows 2003 VM and during the install this happened. After we reconnected to the host the VM was now displayed in grey (with text saying something about it being missing). I browsed the datastore and the VM was there with a vmem file also. We decided to remove it from inventory since we couldn't delete it from disk, then using the datastore browser, we deleted the folder.

Today I was connected to the host and after losing the connection I checked the VM's again and they reported unexpected shutdowns (these are windows VM's so we are checking the system event log).

I'm not sure where to start looking for the problem. I went on the Host itself and checked some of the logs that can only be seen when using the F2 Config screen on the host but I'm not exactly sure what to look for as I see various warnings in these files but nothing seems to be related to an unexpected shutdown or anything.

Before we purchased ESXi I had used the trial of ESX and ESXi on different hardware and never had a single problem in about 2 months of testing. We bought the hardware specifically for VMware which is why I didn't have the hardware originally to test. (I used an existing HP ProLiant DL380 G5 w/Intel Xeon 5140 @ 2.33 Ghz (2 core) w/2GB RAM and a simple RAID 1 configuration, and didn't have any problems)

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, this is ESXi 3.5.0 94430. (once crash happened with the original update 1 CD, and the 2nd crash happened today. We upgraded to 94430 yesterday)

We determined that the reboot problem occured when power dropped and the UPS kicked it. We moved the server do a different UPS and this solved the problem.
